Holiday Crafts Using Pinecones – Pinecone Pots
It is fun to do holiday Crafts Using Pinecones. They are plentiful and such fun. Everyone loves making something that can contribute to the holiday spirit, fun and decorations. As pinecones are so typical of the holiday season, holiday crafts using pinecones is always big fun for all.
You get quite a variety of different shaped pinecones and if you can get hole of a variety your pinecones can be an even better holiday decorations as you can make a pretty display with them.
This is what you will need for this holiday craft using pinecones:
- Pinecones
- Wood stars
- 11/2 Inch terra cotta pots
- Paper napkins
- Acrylic paint in the desired colors
- Thick white crafts glue
- Paint brushes
How to do this crafts:
- Paint your pots in the desired color
- Let them dry completely
- Choose another color to decorate the pots, you can decorate them with stripes, or dots or any pattern you like. Use as many colors as you please.
- Remember to rinse the brushes well before you change colors.
- Dots can be made very easily by dipping the back of the brush in the paint and pressing it to the pot.
- Now the paint has to dry once again.
- Meanwhile you can paint your pine cones white.
- Let them dry.
- Apply a second coating of white paint.
- Let them dry
- Now you can paint your stars to match your pots
- Let your stars dry well.
- Now you have to fill your pots with crumpled paper napkins so the pine cone will fit nicely.
- Wet the paper with lots of crafts glue
- Neatly set the pinecone in the pots onto the wet napkins to glue it in position
- Glue a star onto each pinecone
- Let all the glue dry very well before you use your pots in your decorations.
