The Technicalities Of The HP LaserJet 2300L Printer Working With Cartridges

Even though it has been discontinued by HP, the HP LaserJet 2300L printer is still considered a high-quality printer. At many supply stores, both online and local, the LaserJet 2300L printer toner is easily available.  It is able to print on regular standard paper at a rate of up to 30,000 pages per month in a reliable fashion. When you are looking for a printer, numbers such as these are an excellent start.

The performance specifications for the 2300L include a factory-issue 32 MB of internal memory, expandable up to 288 MB. It has a 266 MHz processor, and at factory specifications it is capable of printing up to twenty pages per minute at 1,200 x 1,200 dpi which, compared to other models of the same caliber is still pretty average. Combine that with a total two-tray capacity of 1,700 pages and it is possible to print nonstop for well over an hour.

Standard letter, envelopes, legal paper, executive paper, and 8.5″” x 14″” sheets are all acceptable media types. Like many of the newer models, the HP LaserJet 2300L is backwards-compatible with older hardware. For older hardware there is the B-size bidirectional parallel port that allows connectivity. It also has the industry-standard USB 1.1 connectivity for newer desktops and laptops that are available in the market today. Also, both Macintosh and Windows operating system users will be able to use this printer as it is compatible with both.

In addition to the printer itself, upon purchase you also receive all necessary cables, a free LaserJet 2300L printer toners, software and documentation in CD-ROM format, a flyer containing support information, and a free Startup Guide to assist in installation, maintenance, and use. A control panel overlay can be included to adjust the dialect on the printer keys. This is a useful accessory in the event your primary language or work environment is not English-based.

When you compare the 2300L to the other printers of the series, it is much cheaper than the others. The 2300D, which is the cheapest of the 2300′s still in production, retails at $649.00 while the newer 2300dtn retails at the large sticker price of $1,199.00. But, you can find the 2300L in stores at $470.00. You can even get it for $100.00 or less if you decide to go with a refurbished model. This gives you the option of having a machine with good performance while still being affordable.

While there are technically more advanced or more affordable printers on the market, the HP LaserJet 2300L printer strikes an excellent balance between the two. It is easily maintained and serviced, which helps reduce downtime and overhead costs. Whether you already own a 2300L or are in the market for a new printer, it is certainly worth a second look.

Maintaining performance of this printer with HP LaserJet 2300L toner cartridge is easy as HP printers have such long lives that toner can always be obtained.  Finding replacement toner online is quick and the prices are excellent.
