Why would my white oranda turn orange after I added new goldfish?

I’ve had my white, orange headed Oranda goldfish for about 2 years. Last week I added two new goldfish to its tank. This morning I noticed that it is beginning to turn orange around it’s fins and belly. Is it getting sick or is it because of the new fish?

Just test your water to make sure you’re not mistaking the new coloration for ammonia burns. If your ammonia comes up as 0, you’re fine. Also, if you notice him “gasping” for air all or a sudden, it’s a sign that you may be having water quality issues.
