Wearing Bow Ties for Festive Occasions

When deciding what tie to purchase there are many different styles and types, it may seem daunting to choose one. If you consider what you need it for and your budget it will become easier to choose. There are different designs, materials, styles and even a self-tie bow tie and which ones you decide on will depend on your taste. Although bow ties are not as popular as neckties, they are still bought and worn especially on festive occasions.

There are several different events where you can choose to wear one and they will make you look elegant and distinguished. Although the classic look black bow tie is very smart it can be worn at other times rather than just for formal events. For an alternative look, you could try to wear a white bow tie that will make you stand out from the crowd. If you have a large budget then you can buy silk bow ties which look and feel fantastic. Although if you have a smaller budget polyester and cotton bow ties are just as nice.

If you are going to a party or festive event then you should try to dress down and try to find a bow tie that will suit the occasion. If you are attending with your children, it can be fun for father and son to have matching bow ties and there are many to choose from. For smaller children, self-tie bow ties are ideal as they can be easily put on and taken off when not in use. As learning to tie a bow tie can take some time to master. There are no rules when it comes to festive bow ties and you can go for as loud as you want.

You may want to choose a one that is bright and colorful and bound to strike up conversation amongst you and your guests. There are many different designs to choose from including characters, polka dots or festive scenes. Whatever you decide on the bow tie will look fantastic and you will be a hit at the party. If it is an item of apparel that you will wear often, spend a little more money on a good quality silk one, but if it is for just one event after which you will throw it in a drawer, shop more wisely and choose the cheaper polyester.

You never know, you may be converted from a necktie to a bow tie and wear one every day to work. This could make you look more distintive and authoritive.
