You probably know Las Vegas for its back to back casinos and gaming halls or perhaps as a place where young couples run to, to get married in a quick stylish fashion. However Las Vegas shopping malls and complexes are dotted all over the main part of town and many people actually fly in to the city for a weekend shopping trip; shopping has become part of Las Vegas tourism, there’s something here suit every ones tastes. (1) Fashion Show Shopping mall – This massive mall space is located right on the main boulevard; it is a 2 million square foot Las Vegas shopping centre that deals with mainly high fashion boutique store items. What makes this particular place different from other malls is that they run fashion shows every hour from 6pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Inside the huge hallways are brightly lit and house many of the big name clothing stores, such as Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Sak’s and Dillard’s, which cater to the higher end market. For more down to earth, youthfully hip stores like Zara, True Religion, Metropark and Talulah G, there is a separate section dedicated to this niche. If you tire of window shopping, the fashion mall has 11, 288 Sq foot food courts with endless lines of international foods to fill you up; whether it is a full sizzling sirloin steak or a double cheese burger. For people that appreciate the arts or want to buy a masterpiece to hang in their living rooms there are two top line art galleries; Centaur Art and the Z Gallerie, which hosts the work of both up and coming contemporary artists and age old classic styles.

(2) MonteLago Village – Not everyone want to stay on the main strip, if you want a different Las Vegas shopping experience then you might want to head to this place, the MonteLago Village situated 17 miles from the town center next to the main airport. Situated beside a large lake, this shopping village is an ideal place for anyone looking to get away from the hustle of the Las Vegas strip for a while. The buildings have been built to look like they belong in a traditional Italian styled village, you can completely lose yourself in the relaxed atmosphere while window shopping for gifts. There is a mix of different shops; you’ll find high end boutiques offering the latest fashions, antique stores, porcelain doll shops, as well as cafés, bars and restaurants to keep you going. To add to the authentic feel of the mall, there is an Italian ice cream shop and if you want to unwind stop into the Irish pub for a quick pint, before hitting the tables again.
